Men's Ministry
Faith Baptist Church recognizes the need in our society for men who are living for Jesus. Christ's design for man is to lead his family in a Christ-like way and to take the call of being a husband and father seriously. We encourage “men to be men” through various events and classes during the church year. We offer opportunities for service, fellowship, growth, support and fun. We encourage you to take a look at our church calendar for our next event and join us! (calendar - click here)
Possible Ways to get CONNECTED:
Men’s Bible Study – Monday Nights
Provides in-depth study of books of the Bible with applications for men. Begins with small group discussions of a passage and opportunity to talk about men’s issues. Concludes with large group teaching on the particular passage. Pastor Richard teaches on leadership once a month. Contact the Church, 919-556-3420, for class times and location.
Men’s Sunday School
David St. John teaches this class during the 2nd Sunday School hour, 9:35 am to 10:45 am, and currently meets in Room 3203.
Quarterly Men’s Breakfast
Meets once a quarter on Saturday morning at 8:00 am in our KidzTown gym. Provides great free breakfast, Biblical teaching on men’s issues, fellowship, updates on projects and resources on men’s issues. Look for dates in the BuzzMail. (to sign up to receive the BuzzMail, send an email to debbie@faithnc.org)
Men’s Retreat - May
Weekend gathering of men for fun, fellowship, athletic teamwork and Biblical instruction. Includes rite of passage for younger men. Challenging men’s messages from a guest speaker punctuate the weekend. This event is held off-site at an away-camp each year in early May.
Accountability Groups
Our men are encouraged to have brief weekly meetings with other men for accountability in various areas, and to encourage and pray for each other. A group meets on Tuesday mornings at 6:30am at the church and is open to anyone. The Monday night men’s Bible study also schedules small accountability groups during the week.
Addictions: Alcohol, Drugs, Pornography, etc.
Our program for those with addictions, meets Thursday nights at 7:00 pm in the large youth room. Help is available to deal with any kind of addiction. For help with pornography addiction, we offer additional resources:
