32 middle school students and 6 adults from Faith had an incredible week of inspiration and perspiration on a mission trip to Kentucky. Our students joined with youth from other churches to serve and share Christ with the residents of Leslie County, the 11th poorest county in the United States. The work was hard, but our students rose to the task, showing great enthusiasm for using service to share the Gospel.
In every context, students were challenged to look for and build bridges to engage people with the gospel. It was a great week. Projects completed by our students included: the construction of a wheel chair ramp for an elderly couple, the replacement of flooring for another, reading to children at an area elementary school, leading multiple bible school day camps, visiting nursing homes and adult daycares, and painting area schools.
