Care

Faith Youngsville is committed to supporting individuals and families in times of need through our Care Ministry. By offering practical assistance, prayer, and emotional support, the ministry helps those facing challenges such as illness or personal crises. Volunteers provide meals, visit the homebound, and connect people with resources to promote healing and hope. The Care Ministry serves as a vital extension of the church’s mission to demonstrate Christ’s love and compassion within the community.

Faith’s food pantry is open one Thursday each month, typically on the third Thursday, and one Saturday each month, usually on the first Saturday. If you would like to receive more detailed information about how to access the food pantry or if you are interested in volunteering to help serve clients there, please contact Christina Mizner.

Faith Youngsville’s caregiver support group warmly welcomes anyone who is providing ongoing care for another individual, no matter their age, illness, or disability. This group offers a supportive environment where caregivers can come together to share their experiences, challenges, and strategies for managing the many demands of caregiving. For additional details or to join the group, please reach out to Evelyn Weaver.

What is biblical counseling?

A Gospel-centered, Holy-Spirit empowered, redemptive process in which a faithful follower of Jesus Christ properly applies the truth of God’s Word to sin and suffering, in walking with others toward spiritual maturity, emotional health, cognitive truth, relational stability and behavioral accountability in a culturally informed, caring and compassionate environment.

Four Important Things to Remember:

  1. The biblical counseling you receive from Faith Youngsville Counseling Ministry is drawn from God’s Word - it is done in accordance with and not contrary to any teaching of God’s Holy Scriptures

  2. Biblical counseling, when done with authenticity, is always more concerned with heart transformation than with simply alleviating symptoms

  3. Heart change often begins with changing one’s thinking. We ask that you be open to thinking in ways that you might not be accustomed

  4. Biblical counseling is a process that usually requires more than one session. We ask that you be committed to the process of learning new ways of thinking and behaving in order to develop change that will last beyond your counseling experience
